Job Description:

Operate, navigate, and maintain passenger boats while ensuring guest safety. Responsible for recreational oversight, equipment management, and providing information to guests at a luxury resort.

Job Responsibility:

Operate, drive, and navigate passenger boats according to regulations
instruct guests on boating safety and use of life jackets
clean and perform minor maintenance on boats
be aware of situations where guests are not able to safely participate in activities
inform supervisor/manager when needed
provide information to guests about recreation activities
distribute or rent recreation equipment to guests and visitors
monitor the condition of returned recreation equipment and send for repair when necessary
conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items
complete requisitions for additional supplies, materials, and equipment
provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
complete safety training and certifications
follow company policies and procedures
ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
protect company assets
welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
anticipate and address guests’ service needs
thank guests with genuine appreciation
speak with others using clear and professional language
answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
support team to reach common goals
treat co-workers with dignity and respect
comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down ladders, stairs and/or service ramps
reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License
CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Recreation Equipment
any certification or training required by state and local agencies

Nice to have:

Some college
at least 3 years of related work experience
