Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Specialist to join our dynamic team for the LNG Bunkering Project. In this key role, in close collaboration with the LNG team in Sohar, you will be a strategic member of the Muscat Back Office in charge of preparing and overseeing the safety, the compliance and the efficiency of all marine operations. Your area of responsibilities will apply to LNG carriers loading, LNG bunkering operations, and, in a larger extent, all Marine related matters of LNG Bunkering Project. Your skills and experience will also identify you as a potential temporary replacement of the Marine Superintendent in Sohar. Additionally, you would potentially be able to provide support to the Sohar Team about the logistics entities and warehouse activities, as this will be a part of the Sohar's Marine Superintendent scope. The job holder is a part of the Company Muscat Back Office team and will report directly to the Supply Chain & Marine Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsibilities apply to LNG carriers loading, LNG bunkering operations, and all Marine related matters of LNG Bunkering Project

Requirements:

  • Languages: English and Arabic (mandatory)
  • Extensive experience in LNG shipping operations, terminal management, vessel berthing, cargo handling, and compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of OCIMF SIRE/CDI vetting and SIGTTO best practices
  • Understanding of ISPS Code implementation and port security protocols
  • Experience in similar position (years): +10 years including 5 years as Chief officer or master on LNG/LPG Carriers or crude / clean oil Carriers
  • Good knowledge in warehouse and lifting activities
