You will proactively manage a specialized book of Marine claims from investigation through to final settlement, ensuring compliance and superior service delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively manage a specialized book of Marine claims from investigation through to final settlement, ensuring compliance and superior service delivery
  • Proactively investigate facts and accurately interpret policy coverage and response
  • Manage and adjust all incoming specialty line Marine claims, delegating administrative tasks when appropriate
  • Accurately set and regularly review reserves for indemnity and defense costs in line with the company’s philosophy
  • Strategically settle claims within prescribed authority limits in an expeditious and economical manner

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Asia Marine market and the ability to apply legal principles to claims management
  • Exposure handling full product suite of Marine claims such as Cargo, Hull and Liabilities Insurance
  • Excellent command of PC-based systems, including database systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide instructions to external service providers and influence co-insurers for optimum outcomes
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field are desirable, focusing on technical and soft skill development
  • 3 years experience
