Job Description:

The Manufacturing Test & Repair Training Program Manager collaborates with the Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and NPI teams to research, develop and implement customer SKU-specific manufacturing test & repair certification training programs. They work with cross-functional manufacturing and management teams to meet and exceed customer certification training program expectations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Certification Program Development: Review of high-level, new customer SKU engineering documentation
  • Participate in golden sample builds and pilot runs
  • Develop and release the training guides, certification exams and other training documentation
  • Certification Program Implementation: Prepare and train the Manufacturing Training Coordinators on the newly released certification programs
  • Monitor the initial certification training sessions for the newly released certification programs
  • Training & Certification: Manage and assign the daily and weekly task plans for the test & repair Manufacturing Training Coordinators
  • Manage, submit and maintain test & repair team training and certification records with the Training Management System (TMS)
  • Complete certification training program tasks when required, including but not limited to training sessions, certification exams, certification updates and recertifications
  • Complete new-hire technician onboarding program training when required
  • Continuous Improvement: Share manufacturing test & repair practices feedback with the NPI and Manufacturing Engineering teams
  • Periodically review the existing training materials to ensure that the materials are aligned with the manufacturing quality and engineering processes
  • Review quality alerts and manufacturing process documentation updates to determine whether updates are required for existing training materials
  • Provide task-related feedback to the Manufacturing Training Coordinators

Requirements:

  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
  • Ability to develop clear and concise instructional documentation
  • Ability to work across manufacturing, engineering and other support teams
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of personnel
  • Two-year degree or equivalent
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite
  • At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience providing standardized workplace classroom and hands-on training is beneficial but not required
  • Experience developing learning documentation, SOPs, etc. is beneficial but not required
