An opportunity for a busines method engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo). Join our dynamic Manufacturing Technologies and Co-design (R&T & R&D) team, focused on advancing the future of aircraft manufacturing. You will be at the forefront of developing new technologies and processes that will shape the next generation of aircrafts, tackling current limitations and improving existing solutions. Our team is also responsible for providing continuous support to manufacturing activities in Illescas, and offering global expertise on manufacturing processes through Airbus Process Instructions (AIPIs).
Job Responsibility:
Lead R&T projects and trials like Wing of Tomorrow, HTP multispar, fuselage components and hydrogen tanks for the aircraft of the future
Manage and maintain AIPIs as focal point for global application
Oversee MFTs (Manufacturing Technology Teams) for repairability, prepreg, and auxiliary materials
Drive A350 industrialization of Cargo Door
Collaborate with engineering teams to define and co-design processes for composite materials and manufacturing capabilities
Set up and industrialize composite manufacturing systems aligned with program goals (rate, costs, etc.)
Analyze manufacturing results through inspections, both destructive and nondestructive
Use project management tools (planning, risk analysis, PFMEA, PDCA) to ensure project success
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of composite materials for aeronautical components
Experience in composite manufacturing processes
Experience in co-design for manufacturing with engineering and materials teams
Ability to define, set up, and industrialize systems for composite component manufacturing
Background in project management with skills in planning, control, and risk management
Knowledge of health and safety practices in industrial environments
Expertise in prepreg materials and understanding of their behavior compared to dry fiber and thermoplastics
Ability to conduct trials, analyze results, and generate detailed reports
Knowledge of environmental solutions in manufacturing
Fluent in English
