SRG are working with a well-established chemical manufacturing organisation who specialise in the production of high-quality finished goods across a range of industrial applications. They are now seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their production team on a permanent basis in Merseyside. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering efficient and compliant manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced to the required standards and ready for dispatch. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining process equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This role would suit a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility
Preparing, starting up, monitoring and shutting down blending equipment and manufacturing processes
Maintaining product quality through adherence to specifications and procedures
Carrying out analytical testing to ensure product integrity and consistency
Identifying, investigating and resolving faults, breakdowns and process deviations
Preparing and managing process materials across production stages
Packing, labelling, palletising and inspecting finished goods for dispatch
Completing documentation and records to required quality and compliance standards
Supporting first-line maintenance activities and reporting equipment defects
Maintaining housekeeping standards and 5S practices within the work area
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and efficiency
Assisting in training and mentoring other team members where required
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
Requirements
Industrial experience within a chemical manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of health & safety, quality standards and operational processes
Ability to carry out basic maintenance and fault finding on equipment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Basic qualifications in English, Maths and ICT (or equivalent)
