We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, United States. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining high-quality standards. As an Optical Manufacturing Associate, you'll play an integral role in our production team. Based on department needs, your duties may include tasks such as: Bench/Mounters, Inspection, Surface, AR Department.
Job Responsibility:
Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery
Perform quality control checks and inspections throughout the production process
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
Maintain accurate records of production data, quality metrics, and equipment maintenance
Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet targets
Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines as needed
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Inserting lenses into frames, edging, beveling, tinting, and ensuring lenses meet correct power, axis, and prism standards
Checking frames and lenses for cosmetic and optical defects using ANSI standards
Handling lens surface processes like taping, blocking, generating, coating, and polishing
Operating state of the art Anti Reflective Coating Machinery, sorting and inspecting lenses, and ensuring they meet quality standards
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and machinery
Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as required
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
