A growing advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support day-to-day 3D printing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on operating, maintaining, and supporting additive manufacturing equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Operate and monitor 3D printers (FDM and similar technologies)
Perform routine maintenance including nozzle cleaning, calibration, and part replacement
Prepare print jobs using slicing software and ensure proper setup (materials, settings, orientation)
Inspect printed parts for quality and perform basic post-processing and touch-ups
Troubleshoot print issues and support continuous improvement of print quality
Maintain a clean and organized production workspace
Follow all safety, documentation, and operational procedures
Requirements:
Experience with 3D printing (FDM preferred) in a professional or hands-on environment
Familiarity with printer maintenance and troubleshooting (e.g., clogs, leveling, extrusion issues)
Basic understanding of infill patterns, print settings, and material properties
Comfortable working with hand tools and light mechanical tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Active Secret clearance or Interim Secret REQUIRED
