L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B who will provide support for repairing units returned from customers, including unit alignment, assembly, and testing.
Job Responsibility:
Follow and comply with work instructions, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions
Assemble, align, and test systems and components for optics and laser assemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure the finished product meets operational and cosmetic requirements
Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives
Complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bonds/adhesives, potentially using a microscope
Make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit results
Operate complex active alignment stations and tooling
Use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools
Possess working knowledge of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies
Perform basic computer activities with provided programs
Identify, utilize, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as required
Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics
Report deviations from standards to the appropriate resources for review, instruction, and authorization, and obtain quality inspections when appropriate
Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
Apply considerable math skills to perform calculations involving adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent
Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross-functional teamwork
Perform job duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience
Nice to have:
Experience with LabView programs is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in operating 25%-50% of workstations, as documented by training records
