Job Description:

Full time permanent role for a Manufacturing Team Leader on the afternoon shift (Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm) at a global researcher & manufacturer of animal health pharmaceuticals in South Auckland. The role reports to the Head of Manufacturing and focuses on leading a team to manufacture and pack commercial animal pharmaceuticals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the highly skilled Liquids team who are dedicated to manufacturing and packing of commercial animal pharmaceuticals
  • Ensure the production schedules are met and that all products are manufactured and packed efficiently to the correct quality, quantity, cost, and timeframes
  • Undertake and lead specific projects associated with production
  • Facilitate meetings for any quality issues within your department
  • Comply with pharmaceutical good manufacturing practices (GMP), principles and protocols and follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards in a safe and timely manner

Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • The ability to motivate and build a strong culture of compliance and accountability within your team
  • Significant experience working in a manufacturing environment (5 + years)
  • Strong working knowledge of GMP & preferably FDA manufacturing regulations
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • The ability to manage resources to meet changing priorities
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to pick up new packages and processes easily
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
