We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Support Assistant to join a premier organization in the scientific equipment industry. This position is a critical part of the manufacturing & logistics team in Coquitlam, BC, focusing on the maintenance and accuracy of high-tech instrumentation. As a Technical Support Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is meticulously prepared and tested before it reaches the end user.
Job Responsibility:
Clean and prepare complex scientific service equipment for the essential calibration and QC process
Record detailed calibration and quality control data within the company's technical database
Upload specific calibration constants and software updates to serviced equipment to ensure precision
Assist the senior technical team with mechanical troubleshooting and equipment assembly tasks
Maintain a safe and organized work environment within the manufacturing & logistics facility
Manage the physical intake and movement of equipment, involving lifting between 50 lbs and 80 lbs
Ensure all technical documentation is completed accurately to maintain high-quality service standards
Requirements:
Previous experience in a technical support, assembly, or mechanical assistant role
Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing 50 lbs to 80 lbs on a regular basis
Basic understanding of electronic components
Capability to commit to a 3-month temporary assignment in Coquitlam, BC
Strong computer skills for data entry and software/firmware uploads
Proven track record of reliability and punctuality in a manufacturing & logistics environment
High school diploma required
Post-secondary technical training is highly preferred
Nice to have:
Experience with circuit boards is an asset
