Job Responsibility:
Develop the manufacturing and quality plans for cabling products (as well as Robotics and advanced technologies) for Meta's data centers, which includes copper, single mode fibre, and multimode fibre cabling, patch panels, cable runways, cable enclosures, and connectors
Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for DFM (design for manufacturability), DFT (design for testability), yield improvements and quality control, and audit manufacturing sites to assess supplier’s capabilities and implement manufacturing and quality best practices
Lead a select contractor workforce in delivering high-value quality support across multiple technology domains
Drive lean projects to improve manufacturing and data center processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost, and improve yield
Provide technical leadership and expertise within the supply chain teams throughout the entire hardware product lifecycle
Ensure product and process quality targets are met by working with engineering to design test methods, establishing standards, and driving continuous improvement with manufacturers and suppliers
Assure product and process quality by designing test methods and establishing manufacturing process standards
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflows, space requirements, and equipment layout
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends in manufacturing, field, and RMA data
Drive root cause and corrective action for failures during manufacturing and operation in the data center
Assist in implementing failure analysis tools and processes
Create and maintain all product process, quality, and technical training documentation
and create BOMs, engineering change notifications, and manufacturing process changes through product lifecycle management tools
Requirements:
Requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Requires 36 months of work experience in job offered or in an Engineering-related occupation
Requires 36 months of experience in each of the following: Work on optical based networking hardware in a design or engineering role
Detailed knowledge in developing manufacturing test solutions for optical based network hardware
Demonstrate use of quality tools, methodologies in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Conduct Design of Experiments ( DOE ), root cause analysis and troubleshooting of network related hardware issues
Perform regular audits of Supplier manufacturing facilities
Develop reliability test plans and use reliability prediction tools and techniques to evaluate product reliability performance on new products
Ensure product and process quality targets are met by working continuous improvement projects with manufacturers and equipment providers
Create policy with a systemic approach to continuous improvements and leveraging the ability to scale
Drive root cause and corrective action for failures during manufacturing and operations within the data center

Demonstrated ability to improve suppliers and build substantial technical relationships
