We at Therma-Tru are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer, in our high-volume H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico Glass plant. As the Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing equipment systems and procedures used in manufacturing facilities. Its main functions include testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes and performing risk assessments.
Job Responsibility:
Designing and implementing equipment systems and procedures used in manufacturing facilities
Testing and monitoring equipment
Updating current system processes
Performing risk assessments
Experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes
Design new production and test equipment/tools
Establish quality controls for manufacturing systems
Maintain contact with suppliers
Conduct the analysis and quoting process for new equipment necessary for the launch of new production lines
As well as its proper installation
Create processes and procedures
Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
Reduce the generation of waste
Follow-up to corrective action system
Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
Development of savings projects
Designing and validating packaging for products
Development of ergonomic improvement projects
Design quality assurance systems
Layout updates
Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings
Establish an effective and efficient work sequence
Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
Strong analytical and communication skills
Fluent in English
Strong written and verbal communication skills
MS Office experience
Experience with AutoCAD/ Minitab
Knowledge of the 8 wastes of lean
Ability to interact effectively with others in the workplace
