Job Responsibility

  • Analyzing and propositions of improvements/optimalizations of the product concept (HV Inlets, electrical centers), regarding manufacturability and assembly (in scope of cooperation with Product Engineers, no designing process itself). This activity, extends from the Acquisition phase to the SOP
  • Define and match the technical requirements for manufacturing, automatic and/or manual assembly processes under consideration of product design and specific requirements (preparation of assembly concept)
  • Assembly tools / assembly lines cost estimation in quotation phase
  • Creation of technical specification for new assembly equipment
  • Assembly machines/assembly lines design check and approval with external supplier/ suppliers follow-up
  • Reviews and pre-acceptances at suppliers sites/ process release support in Aptiv manufacturing sites
  • Searching for co-operation with external assembly tool / assembly line suppliers, benchmark with Purchase Dept.
  • Lead development new technologies internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Participations in PFMEA reviews in development phase of the project
  • On-time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the quality system valid for Aptiv corporation and Technical Center in Kraków
  • Installation of new assembly lines at Aptiv plants (Connection Systems in Europe), including Hungary and Morocco - participation in the start-up phases

Requirements

  • Higher technical education (preferred fields: mechanical engineering, process automation)
  • Good command of English
  • Teamwork skills
  • Over 4 years of experience in designing of assembly lines
  • Experience in the automotive industry and production
  • Proven experience with assembly and plastic injection molding processes
  • Proficiency in using MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks/Inventor)
  • Willingness to travel abroad on business trips
