Job Description: Manufacturing Operator I Role Overview Location:(UK - Paisley) Position Type: (6 Months) Work Schedule: 8-12 hour shifts (depending on rota), Monday to Friday with additional overtime as required by production schedules. Position Summary The primary function of the Manufacturing Operator I is to execute the day-to-day production process in a highly controlled, fast-paced cleanroom environment. You will closely follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction Documents, and technical drawings to manage medical device assembly, materials handling, and packaging of finished goods. All duties are performed in strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Manually assemble specialized medical-grade tubing, connectors, and fluid bags
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, using tools like tape measures
  • Perform rigorous visual checks on both in-process and completed products
  • Accurately complete and record operational paperwork in absolute compliance with strict GMP standards
  • Actively participate in team-based Lean Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience working in a similar fast-paced processing, assembly, or manufacturing industry
  • Proven ability to interpret and carefully follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand coordination for repetitive task execution
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic computer literacy
  • Solid basic mathematical skills
