Job Description

The Data Center Platform Engineering organization is excited to hire a highly skilled individual that can provide leadership for building up successful Data Center platform with key partners/customers. This role will need to drive early proof of concept engagement, and hands on work with ODM/OEM partners/customers during product/platform development phase, provide process review, BFT, manufacturing test and validation recommendations based on the product requirement. The individual will also need to work with internal team for manufacturing operation, platform design, test and software team on the complex problems that arise during bring up and validation phases.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with Platform Engineering and Manufacturing Operation team to support ODM/OEM/customer to identify and drive the end-to-end manufacturing assembly and test strategy—from early design through high-volume production—to ensure reliable, scalable execution
  • Define and execute a comprehensive manufacturing test strategy in collaboration with DIAG, Hardware, Tool, Software development, and CQE/PQE teams
  • Develop test plans, coverage evaluations, and mechanical test requirements for new and existing products
  • Work with Internal design and deploy manufacturing test platforms, fixtures, jigs, and SOPs for Contract Manufacturers
  • Team up with internal team for test infrastructure, including servers, performance monitoring, and log accessibility before deploy to ODM/customer
  • Lead NPI bring-up and sustaining production through remote debug, onsite builds, and yield improvement initiatives
  • Analyze high-volume test data to identify root causes, improve yield, and reduce failures
  • Oversee ECR/ECO processes for test changes, manufacturing procedure and ensure alignment across engineering and manufacturing
  • Understand ODM/customer model test capacity and throughput to support production forecasts and ramp schedules

Requirements

  • Proven experience in manufacturing test engineering or production engineering for complex electronic products
  • Ownership of NPI and sustaining production, including test system design and deployment
  • Background with CPU/GPU or similar high-performance computing/networking hardware
  • Expertise in developing test fixtures, hardware, and automated workflows
  • Strong collaboration with DIAG, HW, Tool, Software development, and CQE/PQE teams on test requirements and coverage
  • Experience with server thermal and mechanical chassis and environmental stress testing (thermal cycling, burn-in, temperature characterization)
  • Proficiency in command-line operations for log analysis, file management, and script automation
  • Ability to analyze high-volume yield data, isolate failure signatures, and correlate across HW/SW/Diag
  • Skilled in writing test plans, SOPs, sustaining guides, and managing ECR/ECO changes
  • Bachelors or Master's in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
