Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to lead the Boeing Sheffield, UK Fabrication site. The Site leader is responsible for managing approximately 120-140 employees alongside all facets of the Site, from operations to facility planning. A Manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals, while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develops and executes integrated organizational plans and policies and procedures
Guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
Acquires resources for organizational activities and provides technical management of suppliers
Leads process improvements and deploys Boeing Production System (BPS)
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Leads, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in leading, people managing and developing employees
5+ years experience in an aerospace, manufacturing and a fabrication environment
5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules, or resolve technical or operational problems
Able to travel domestically and internationally when required
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years using LEAN manufacturing and/or continuous Improvement practices and tools
Knowledge of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
