Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Fabrication Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Emergent Operations Team based out of Renton, Washington on 2nd shift. As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One BPS culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leads employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing subject areas
  • Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

Nice to have:

  • 1+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data
  • 1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
