The Boeing AvionX organization is seeking a highly skilled & motivated Manufacturing Manager to join our growing team co-leading AvionX Manufacturing across all programs across BCA & BGS. Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic systems in the world. We are innovating and developing new products that address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets, and other strategic growth areas.
Job Responsibility:
Co-Manage AvionX Quality Team Members in multiple manufacturing disciplines in Smithfield, PA as we continue to grow and operate across multiple shifts
Sets Manufacturing objectives, develops execution plans and lead teams to surpass objectives
Work cross functionally to drive Manufacturing Excellence & Throughput across the AvionX organization
Monitors product assembly and test standards
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies Maintain Compliance and Certification of Production Personnel
Lead Proactive Root Cause & Corrective Actions & Lean projects
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and analyze data to pinpoint areas for improvement
Manages, hires, motivates & develops team members to achieve production objectives and career aspirations
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Leads safety, regulatory and compliance requirements
Requirements:
5+ years Experience in Aircraft or Aircraft Component Manufacturing
2+ years of experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Manager on the shop floor in a manufacturing plant
5+ years of experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment
Nice to have:
10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with FAA FAR 145 Repair Station Operations
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Experience with AS9100 and operating effectively in an AS9100 production operation
Experience with computerized manufacturing execution, quality and employee management systems
Strong team leadership/people management experience and strong communication skills
Problem-solving, data-analysis abilities
familiarity with quality and production standards and systems
Experience in Lean & Root Cause Corrective Action
