We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I to support mechanical and electrical operations within a dairy processing and manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level maintenance role focused on ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure during the evening shift operation. The technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment while supporting plant operators and ensuring continuous operations.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct walkthroughs and assessments of plant equipment during operation and shutdown
Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs as required
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot malfunctioning or out-of-service equipment
Provide mechanical support to plant operators during equipment troubleshooting and repairs
Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems to support production operations
Maintain structural integrity of the facility as directed
Follow assigned shift schedules to meet operational staffing requirements
Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and maintenance standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Prior experience in food or dairy manufacturing strongly preferred
Working understanding of engineering theory and principles related to plant operations
Hands-on knowledge of Homogenizers
Hands-on knowledge of Blow molding equipment
Hands-on knowledge of Electrical distribution systems, 480V, 60Hz, 3-phase
Ability to properly use tools and maintenance techniques with limited supervision
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, plant drawings, and schematics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have:
Welding experience is a plus
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
General knowledge of plant equipment and systems, including Boiler operations, Fluid heat exchangers, Refrigeration and cooling systems, Fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, Air compressor operations, Electrical distribution and electronic controls, Welding operations
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and compliance requirements
