Randstad Operational is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Manufacturing - Maintenance Technician (Electromechanic) to join a global leader located in Etobicoke area. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of high-tech production machinery within a fast-paced environment. This is a 1-year temporary mandate specifically for the night shift, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your skills with a global organization. As a Manufacturing - Maintenance Technician (Electromechanic), your contribution is vital to the facility's success. You will be responsible for maintaining complex equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and participating in continuous improvement projects. Your strong analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex technical problems in a manufacturing setting and knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanical systems coupled with your proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans/diagrams make you an ideal candidate for this role!
Job Responsibility:
Perform corrective maintenance actions that occur during the night shift to minimize production downtime
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as per the established schedule and assignment
Recondition defective parts and perform welding repairs as needed to extend equipment life
Complete detailed work orders after each intervention using the specialized maintenance software
Ensure all repairs are conducted safely using lockout/tagout procedures and that equipment is safe for operation
Verify that building equipment and production machinery consistently comply with safety standards
Strictly respect all existing Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) measures and protocols
Maintain 5S standards in the workshop and keep the work environment clean during all maintenance activities
Communicate directly with vendor technical support for complex equipment failures that require external assistance
Requirements:
Diploma of professional studies in Electromechanics or a suitable combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Maintenance Technician or Electromechanic role
Proven ability to follow electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics for preventive maintenance
Flexibility to work the night shift and be available for on-call emergencies or weekend maintenance
Must be able to work on-site at the Etobicoke (Toronto) hub
