The Manufacturing Excellence Executive has overall responsibility for Factory Programs and Standards, Factory Performance Delivery, and Production Cost Governance.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinates with the Sourcing Unit Director to define Site needs and UMS program of the Site
Supports the creation and regular update of the Long Term Factory Masterplan
Lead execution of ManEx activities in the Factory, in line with the SU Strategy and Masterplan
Reviews the ManEx masterplan on a regular basis
Works with the Digital Team to draft and implement the Digitalization Agenda of the site
Leads the Focused Improvement Pillar
Develops and leads in the implementation of the UMS Program in the site
Provides support to shopfloor activities, i.e. facility for technical training center
Supports the Sourcing Unit Director in driving operational KPIs of the site
Establish standards for measuring factory performance i.e. productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale
Analyze and submit monthly Factory performance report based on pre-established Key Performance Indicators aligned with MDCS
Coordinate and drives the delivery of cost reduction targets
Drives loss elimination programs in the factory and monitors activities to sustain the continuous improvement culture
Lead and facilitate Kaizen meetings, which focus on priority losses
Teach, coach and mentor teams to utilize all necessary Focused Improvement tools, linking these to the reduction of losses in the factory
Coordinates with SC Finance partner to prepare his/her site’s FY cost budget in line with the overall Factory strategy
Translates the annual budget into monthly buckets and down to Leading KPIs, which is then shared to Production teams on a monthly basis
Monitors Leading KPIs on a daily/weekly basis, provides analysis in case targets are missed and proposes a short-term action plan
Leads monthly review of production cost performance thru the SU Efficiency meeting (in partnership with SC Finance) and savings performance. Provide detailed analysis and recommend action plans to close gaps
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical background
Experience implementing either six sigma or lean manufacturing or any similar program
Preferably working 4-5 years in Manufacturing
Knows how to analyze the system and make recommendation for improvement
Ability to prepare accurate technical reports and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Understanding of Manufacturing Financials and P&L
It is important for the individual to be highly motivated and pro-active
Ability to lead and influence teams
Can collaborate well with multiple teams to drive efficiency and savings
Logical and structured thinking, with analytical skills, and detail- oriented
Strategic influencing and procurement skills to reduce indirect cost
Must be amenable to work under fixed term contract
