Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with engineers, maintenance technicians, and operators to understand machine equipment, workflows, and operating challenges
Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and packaging equipment issues on the plant floor
Observe machinery in operation and help identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and standardization
Support the development, revision, and standardization of work instructions, SOPs, setup guides, and troubleshooting documents
Help ensure documentation reflects actual machine conditions, operating practices, and best-known methods
Assist in collecting and analyzing equipment performance, downtime, and process data
Participate in process improvement and equipment reliability projects
Support equipment testing, trials, and validation activities as needed
Contribute to root cause problem solving and corrective action follow-up
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project reviews
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Interest in manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, maintenance, or process improvement
Strong mechanical aptitude and/or interest in electrical systems and controls
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to organize information clearly and accurately
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in an industrial / manufacturing environment
Nice to have:
Exposure to manufacturing equipment, robotics, automation, PLCs, sensors, motors, conveyors, or pneumatics through coursework, labs, co-ops, or projects
Familiarity with reading basic engineering drawings, schematics, or technical documents
Experience with CAD or technical documentation tools is a plus
