Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to join a manufacturing team for our client as a Process Engineer in East Toronto Area. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency across various production systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and meet production goals
  • Troubleshoot production-related issues with equipment, materials, and processes, implementing solutions to resolve any inefficiencies
  • Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production effectiveness and cost savings
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, process diagrams, and guidelines for the production team
  • Conduct time studies and performance assessments to establish production benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Work closely with design and production teams to refine and enhance equipment and tooling
  • Provide technical training and support to production staff to ensure optimal process execution
  • Monitor production schedules and assist in planning to ensure that operations run smoothly and on time
  • Support overall maintenance and quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of production and safety

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, etc.) P. Eng is must
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on process improvement
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting production challenges
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, including Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards in manufacturing
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
