You will be responsible for performing the Manufacturing Engineering functions as related to planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in liaison with the Global Engineering group within the global manufacturing organization (GMO) factory by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
Analyze work force utilization, space requirements
Understand workflow and ensure equipment layout and workspace is maximized
Estimates production times and works with SAP and WO
Updates BOMs with project specific consumables
Oversee welding activities conducted on our products
Develop welding techniques procedures utilizing characteristics of metal alloys
Selection of existing welding equipment, or test/evaluate new equipment
Develop and test new fabrication processes and techniques
Prepare technical reports, make recommendations and review customer specifications
Qualify welding procedures and the welding personnel
Responsible for estimating welding consumables
Supervise welded joints and testing to assure contract requirements are met
Liaison with Master Planners and Engineering group to ensure product design is manufacturable with efficient production methods
Oversee capital projects are designed, purchased, installed and functioning as defined
Determine purchased product specifications interaction with our products/processes
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
Confers with maintenance to develop and facilitate production and facility equipment preventative maintenance program

Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or a related field
5-10 years related experience and/or equivalent of education and experience
SME in welding and nuclear codes such as ASME Section I, II, III, VIII, IX
Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of documents such as regulations, blueprints, SOPs, equipment IOM etc.
Strong capabilities with SAP ERP systems, CAD/CAM software, and excellent computer skills
Must have welding experience
A strong understanding of metallurgy, welding inspection and supervision
Understand Lean Manufacturing and Change Management principles
Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through established root cause corrective action (RCCA) processes.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals or periodicals, technical procedures, or regulations
