The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective production.
Job Responsibility:
Specify, qualify, and optimize manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation
Optimize cycle times, yields, and throughput
Develop process controls
Ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action
Support audits (internal, customer, regulatory)
Analyze and suggest improvements for Safety and ergonomics
Support product launches and technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing
Develop manufacturing readiness plans and pilot builds
Collaborate on design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
Establish production documentation and training materials
Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and routings
Create concepts and designs for assembly aids, fixtures, and tooling
Identify and execute cost-reduction initiatives
Drive Lean manufacturing efforts (waste reduction, 5S, standard work)
Analyze production data to improve performance metrics (OEE, scrap, rework)
Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, other Engineering disciplines
Support suppliers on process capability and manufacturability
Train Technicians on new processes and improvements
Translate client needs into actionable engineering solutions
Provide on-site and remote engineering support as required by client engagements
Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering required
3+ years of relevant experience in prototype, low-volume, or R&D environments preferred
Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and process documentation tools
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
