Job Description:

Manufacturing Engineer Intern - Summer role at Carrier's Indianapolis location. Part of Carrier's Graduate Hire Program, assisting in process improvement, fixture design, data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in process improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Support design and implementation of manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues
  • Help develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Production
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Requirements:

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Nice to have:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
