Your main focus will be to ensure that electronics prototypes are built correctly, efficiently, and on schedule, enabling ICEYE’s engineering teams to iterate quickly and with confidence. This role acts as the bridge between design and manufacturing, translating engineering intent into manufacturable hardware by owning prototype execution, resolving issues early, and maintaining close technical collaboration with suppliers. By enforcing high-quality documentation, proactively managing risks, and continuously improving prototype and NPI processes, the Manufacturing Engineer directly contributes to faster development cycles, higher build quality, and smoother transitions from prototype to production.
Job Responsibility:
Own the end-to-end execution of electronics prototype builds (PCB and PCBA), from design release to delivery
Act as the primary technical interface to PCB/PCBA suppliers, resolving manufacturing, quality, and documentation issues
Review and validate manufacturing documentation (BOMs, assembly data, drawings) to ensure completeness and manufacturability
Track prototype orders, schedules, and priorities, ensuring on-time delivery across multiple concurrent builds
Support material readiness and component management, including availability, alternates, and issue resolution
Verify incoming prototypes and coordinate rework, fixes, or rebuilds when required
Collaborate with R&D, ECAD, and Supply Chain to improve prototype and NPI processes
Contribute to long-term initiatives such as supplier onboarding, process standardization, and in-house prototyping capability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing or design
Solid practical knowledge of Altium Designer and Altium 365
Understanding of PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes, DFM, and quality workflows
Good understanding of general electronics design principles, ability to interpret schematics and fabrication/assembly data
Familiarity with IPC, IEEE, JEDEC standards
Experience working with external suppliers and EMS partners
Good organizational and documentation skills, attention to detail, and structured work style
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional engineering environment
Ability to organize workload, set priorities, and oversee both internal and outsourced ECAD library activities
Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on attitude
