A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Engineer to support its continued growth. Working as part of a high‑performing, collaborative team, you’ll help shape and deliver effective profitability strategies across the business. The role centres on transforming complex data into clear insights, enabling informed decision‑making and contributing directly to the company’s long‑term success.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain accurate and consistent cost and margin reporting
  • Analyse Bills of Materials (BoMs), routings, and labour flows to identify key cost drivers, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to review product design and manufacturing methods, identifying simplification opportunities and cost-down potential
  • Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to ensure margin performance is consistently monitored and addressed
  • Support the implementation of standardised cost control processes, dashboards, and reporting cycles

Requirements

  • Ideally qualified to degree level
  • Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost engineer, cost specialist or similar role
  • Experience in data, operational and financial analysis
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical organisation
  • Experience working within a Standard Cost environment and showing an understanding of Manufacturing Variance
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of SAP
