Job Description:

You will partner closely with our Mont-Joli and Edmonton manufacturing sites, supporting leaders with accurate financial reporting, product costing integrity, and insightful variance analysis. Your expertise will help uncover drivers of value, highlight opportunities for cost optimization, and strengthen financial decision-making across the region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead weekly/monthly manufacturing reporting, analyze key cost drivers, and support month-end closing
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting with site teams
  • Ensure accurate product costing and variance reporting
  • Provide financial models that guide decisions
  • Champion continuous improvement, CapEx oversight, audits, and process automation
  • Contribute to a collaborative finance culture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial or operational accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience as a finance contact for half-yearly inventory stock takes across manufacturing plants, consignment sites, and toll-processing locations
  • Experience with industrial construction costing, inventory processes, and variance analysis
  • Advanced skills in cost accounting, financial modelling, data analysis, ERP systems, and functional budgeting/forecasting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Bilingual in English and French (mandatory)

Nice to have:

  • CPA, CGA, CMA, CA, or MBA designation considered an asset
  • Post-graduate qualification in Accounting is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge and improve existing processes, simplifying and streamlining workflows in collaboration with Manufacturing Finance
  • Proven track record delivering process improvements and value-creation initiatives
