Job Description

The Aptiv Connection Systems Team is looking for a Manufacturing Controls Engineer. This Manufacturing Engineer will serve to coordinate and ensure the sustain, improve, adequate of component assembly machines and/or cells for production intent requirements as a product Current connection systems and associated components, materials, assemblies and manufacturing technologies. The successful candidate will focus on a wide range of on-vehicle products necessary to support rapid growth within Aptiv’s electrification product portfolios.

Job Responsibility

  • Project Leader for developing skills capabilities within a Team Work
  • Sustain and Maintain Equipment Specifications to support quoting and technical requirements
  • Familiar in component on Automation or fully automatic processes
  • Provide Technical Support to Maintenance and Operations departments
  • Support continuous improvement of quality, OE, scrap, design, etc on current assembly processes installed into NA plants
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
  • Participation in design review meetings for new products and provide direct input for new launches
  • Develop and improve the product collaborating with manufacturing, operations and quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering
  • 80% English language skills listening / speaking / reading
  • Experience in assembly development process (concept design, Programming PLC, Robots)
  • Strong Communication Skills for a Global Environment
  • Leading capabilities and/or skills
  • Knowledge on Problem Solving Methodologies (Six Sigma, Shanin Red X, etc)
