We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) Engineer with deep expertise in Teamcenter, MBOM creation, and tooling configuration control. In this role, you will serve as a technical anchor between product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production operations, ensuring that manufacturing data, tool definitions, and workflows are accurate, optimized, and released on time. You will play a key role in shaping how our manufacturing processes are configured, controlled, and scaled.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs) within Teamcenter
Translate engineering EBOMs into production-ready MBOM structures
Ensure alignment of MBOM content with design intent, manufacturing requirements, and configuration rules
Validate, troubleshoot, and continuously improve BOM data accuracy and release workflows
Define, configure, and maintain tooling requirements within Teamcenter and associated manufacturing systems
Work with manufacturing and industrial engineers to ensure tooling models, metadata, and lifecycle states are structured and controlled properly
Support tooling change management and version control
Serve as a subject matter expert for Teamcenter manufacturing modules (MBOM, MPP, BOP, MRL, etc.)
Create and refine PLM workflows, data standards, and best practices for manufacturing data
Act as a technical advisor for system improvements, integrations, and process automation
Partner with design engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure a cohesive product configuration strategy
Lead or support cross-functional reviews for MBOM completeness, tooling readiness, and manufacturability
Provide training and mentorship to engineers and technicians on Teamcenter manufacturing functions
Identify opportunities to streamline MBOM creation and tooling processes using PLM capabilities
Drive improvements in data structure, version control, and change management efficiency
Support digital manufacturing initiatives, standardization efforts, and system upgrades
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, configuration management, or PLM engineering
