Job Description

As part of the talented Mercury Racing team, you will manage production related functions involved in engine assembly and other operations; in addition to supporting production processes and developing and maintaining equipment and procedures. You will support and connect with all supporting functions (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Quality Control) as needed to support the continuous operation of the assembly lines. Responsibilities extend through both the current product lines as well as proposed new product lines. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodology to achieve goals and implement all activities across departments. Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions through listening, engaging employees and problem solving. Act as the company conduit for employee communications to keep employees abreast of news and information. The position aligns with Mercury’s goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Productivity, and collaborates across functions to implement strategic improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology related program
  • 8 - 10 years’ experience in the production environment, including previous supervisory responsibility
  • Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques and applying in manufacturing
  • Proven ability to drive results through leadership influence
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, listening, and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively among all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and consistent follow through
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drafting software is desired
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting concepts, techniques, and principles
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and documents
