Job Description:

We are seeking a Manual Test Engineer to support testing across digital video platforms, including IPTV, OTT, Set-Top Boxes, and mobile applications. The individual will collaborate closely with clients, product teams, and diverse cross‑functional stakeholders to analyse requirements, design test cases, execute test scenarios, identify defects, and provide end‑to‑end support for video delivery technologies. This role is ideal for individuals with 2–4 years of experience in the digital video domain, particularly across IPTV and streaming ecosystems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyse requirements and collaborate with clients and product teams to clarify technical and functional expectations
  • Design comprehensive test cases and participate in reviews to ensure high-quality coverage
  • Execute tests across multiple video platforms such as STB, Mobile, Smart TV, Apple TV, Fire TV and other OTT applications
  • Create defects, retest fixes, and maintain accurate documentation in defect management systems
  • Conduct log analysis to identify root causes and performance indicators
  • Provide daily progress reports and status updates to management teams
  • Perform API testing using POSTMAN or similar tools
  • Use tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, and Charles Proxy to analyse network behaviour
  • Work on IPTV configuration, installation, and troubleshooting, ensuring end-to-end validation of video workflows

Requirements:

  • Experienced in the digital video domain, including IPTV, OTT platforms, and Set-Top Box environments
  • Skilled in testing STBs for cable or satellite systems
  • Knowledgeable in API testing using POSTMAN or similar tools
  • Familiar with Headend and video management platforms such as Kaltura
  • Understanding of network concepts including routers/modems, multi-casting, and bandwidth management
  • Aware of media workflows such as Media Ingest, nPVR, Video on Demand, and EPG
  • Understanding of ABR streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH, HLS, and HDS
  • Knowledgeable in DRM and CDN concepts
  • Comfortable using log analysis tools, including Wireshark, Charles and Fiddler
  • Proficient in software testing methodologies, tools and defect tracking systems
  • Strong in written and verbal communication
  • Logical, analytical and able to prioritise effectively
  • Comfortable working with multinational teams in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project needs
  • Educated to graduate level in Computer Science or an equivalent field

Nice to have:

  • Advantageous to have exposure to Android Debug Bridge and Xcode
  • Good to have experience with system integration testing for capabilities like Recommendation or Reporting using Splunk or equivalent tools
