This role specialises in the management of crew supply and vacation planning processes for Pilots and Cabin Crew across the UK based TUI Airline. The Manpower Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimising the supply/people resource to ensure alignment with crew demand forecasts, operational requirements, and crew-related agreements. While managing both vacation attribution processes, the role ensures accuracy, oversight and alignment of specific crew supply data, qualifications, part time panels, etc for specific reporting requirements and the planning and tracking of assumptions. It requires cross-functional collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking to manage any crew level inconsistencies, with excellent stakeholder management.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the supply planning of pilots and cabin crew across all TUI Airlines, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and operational requirements, while incorporating subcategories such as instructors, multitasking crew, etc supported by a centralised TUI Airline-wide database for accurate and dynamic crew resource management
Optimise crew availability, including recruitment, training, fleet-specific qualifications, bases, and attrition, ensuring alignment with HR, training departments, and operational teams
Develop, communicate and implement optimal leave & part time quota, balancing operational requirements with crew well-being to ensure seamless coverage and cost-efficient resource utilisation
Manage holiday attribution processes, driving the implementation of harmonised IT tools for leave distribution
Regularly review and update vacation policies to align with regulatory, industrial, and business requirements
Assess & support what-if supply scenarios to evaluate the impact on crew availability
Act as a Vacation Planning SME, handling any process related to vacation planning
Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity in the Supply Database and ensure robust reporting is in place for all supply management requirements and assumptions
Implement automated alerts for discrepancies & regular backup procedures
Support the Supply and Vacation Planning Team Lead for EASA where required
Requirements:
