Job Description:

Marriott International is seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Vice President, The Ritz-Carlton and The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Global Brand Leader. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction, growth, and global positioning of these iconic luxury brands. Acting as the global brand voice, the leader will promote brand values, engage with key stakeholders, and collaborate with continent teams to facilitate impactful regional adaptations that drive brand success. They will also monitor global brand performance through data analytics and financial metrics and use these insights to drive strategic decisions that inform each brand. Additionally, they are responsible for leading a high-performing team, setting clear goals, and fostering an innovative and accountable work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, brand management, and a proven track record of leadership in a global setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global brand strategy with clear short-term and long-term objectives for The Ritz-Carlton and The Ritz-Carlton Reserve brands
  • Ensure the brand's business model, positioning, and core proof points are well-defined and scalable
  • Leverage global consumer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to refine brand positioning and initiatives
  • Approve global resources (frameworks, toolkits, and training materials) to enable continent teams to represent the brand effectively
  • Oversee the development and execution of communication plans, for the launch of new or refined brand programs and initiatives
  • Monitor brand health through financial and guest voice metrics, using analytics to drive continuous improvements
  • Oversee budget planning and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize brand investments
  • Collaborate with luxury leaders across continents to set and achieve performance targets
  • Act as the global brand ambassador at key industry events and conferences
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including continent leaders, owner groups, and industry influencers
  • Promote and uphold the brand values and vision across all platforms and interactions
  • Review brand performance metrics, and develop mitigating strategies as needed
  • Oversee and approve the global brand budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment
  • Foster a high-performance team culture that emphasizes accountability, innovation, and excellence
  • Set clear performance goals and expectations for team members while encouraging professional development and growth
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging luxury trends to keep the brand at the forefront of the market
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously inform improvements and innovations.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related major
  • 14+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a senior leadership role within the luxury hospitality industry demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies on a global scale
  • Deep understanding of luxury market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate global teams.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics and financial metrics to monitor and drive brand performance
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience managing, collaborating, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-discipline teams, owners, and franchisees
  • Luxury Trends: Proven track record of identifying new luxury market opportunities and trends and delivering innovative, high-end experiences that resonate with discerning clientele.
