Job Description

This is a key strategic hire for a commercially astute leader looking to influence and shape a global commercial framework, whilst being exposed to global tier 1 clients and the fast growing Data Centre industry! You’ll lead with conviction, take responsibility for results, and expect the same level of accountability from those around you.

Job Responsibility

  • Take full commercial ownership of projects or portfolios from contract through to final account
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, setting high standards and clear expectations
  • Drive commercial strategy, cost control, forecasting, and reporting
  • Manage and interpret NEC /FIDIC/ JCT contracts, ensuring compliance and entitlement
  • Lead negotiations with clients and supply chain partners
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risk and opportunity
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to project and senior management
  • Embed strong governance, controls, and best practice across the business

Requirements

  • A proven Managing or Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to lead from the front
  • Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on, accountable mindset
  • Confident communicator who can operate at client and senior stakeholder level
  • Experience leading and developing QS / commercial teams
  • Deep understanding of NEC/FIDIC and/or JCT contracts
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
