Job Description:

IKEA Industry is the in-house manufacturing and business unit of IKEA with 30 production units across 7 countries, employing 15,000 co-workers. The role involves leading the manufacturing organisation to ensure competitiveness, customer value, and people development while working across the IKEA supply chain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop IKEA Industry with the units in focus to enable short-, medium- and long-term competitiveness
  • actively contribute to the business success for the whole organisation
  • develop the IKEA Industry direction to contribute to affordability, accessibility and sustainability
  • build and develop professional, trustful, efficient and long-term relationships with stakeholders
  • secure manufacturing innovations, knowledge, capabilities and competitiveness
  • contribute to the development of external IKEA suppliers by sharing knowledge and development opportunities
  • listen to and meet customer needs
  • drive a strong people plan by leading, developing, coaching and empowering co-workers and teams
  • act as spokesperson for IKEA Industry related topics to media
  • take part in developing and implementing IKEA operating model.

Requirements:

  • Experience from leading senior leaders and developing people from both a line organizational and matrix perspective within a global organization
  • extensive industrial business experience
  • full understanding of the mechanisms to make the supply chain successful
  • deep knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing
  • excellent strategic skills with ability to lead business with a holistic view
  • capability to create togetherness, belonging and trust within cross-functional and remote team
  • capability to identify and capture business opportunities
  • proven capability to lead change as well as more complex business and people transformations
  • excellent communication skills and can interact naturally on all levels in the organisation.
