Job Responsibility

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the firm's top-tier clients, managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and closely-held businesses
  • Lead tax planning meetings with business owners to provide strategic insights and demonstrate value beyond compliance
  • Oversee the technical review and quality control of complex tax filings, including forms 1120S, 1065, 1041, and high-net-worth individual returns
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor to maintain an efficient review pipeline during peak tax seasons
  • Provide expert consulting on tax controversies, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning
  • Work closely with firm leadership to modernize pricing strategies and enhance client retention policies
  • Mentor and guide staff on technical tax updates and best practices
  • Assume responsibility for the firm's profitability and overall performance, including profit and loss oversight

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax and accounting, ideally within public accounting
  • CPA designation is required, demonstrating advanced expertise in tax and accounting practices
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns, including forms 1120S, 1065, and individual tax filings such as 1040
  • Proven ability to manage complex client engagements and foster strong client relationships
  • Expertise in tax planning, entity formation, and annual income tax provisions
  • Experience with tax software such as CCH and proficiency in full-cycle accounting
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on team development
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-level consulting scenarios
