Job Responsibility

  • Lead produce growth in investment revenue and AUMs with Ultra High Net Worth clients
  • Experienced in constructing and overseeing investment portfolios as well as in delivering advice and guidance on markets and actionable investment ideas
  • Credibility to cultivate trusting, productive relationships with key partners throughout CPB and the wider Citi
  • Entrepreneurial and capable of bringing in new clients/investment management mandates to the bank
  • They will have an exceptional understanding of, and ability to communicate, the full range of investment themes, products and services Citi Private Bank offers to clients
  • Candidates for this position will be able to instill collaborative and team-oriented behavior, and to leverage a wide array of product and other specialists, as well as other divisions within Citigroup, to broaden investment relationships and add the most value to clients
  • Understand how to align products and other investment solutions with asset allocation targets, risk management parameters and client goals
  • The candidate must have a strong ability to coach experienced ICs and colleagues in the best ways to apply products to serve clients
  • For those clients covered directly by the candidate, function as the primary client contact and trusted investment advisor for clients
  • Implement a strategic advisory approach to account planning, focusing on the investment relationship in partnership with the Banker
  • Arrange and lead regular (quarterly) investment and business reviews with assigned clients
  • Actively look for cross sell opportunities in others areas of the bank
  • Partner with Bankers to prospect for new investment business
  • Understand the investment needs of assigned clients and ensure that positions are in line with client risk profiles
  • Minimize the client’s and Private Bank’s exposure to risk by observing suitability policies and by monitoring and communicating changes in the client’s financial condition as well as industry and economic trends
  • Observe suitability and credit policies at the point of client transactions for trade approval
  • Recommend strategic and tactical asset allocation in line with CPB’s house view
  • Oversee and coordinate the portfolio construction and implementation of investment mandates across all appropriate internal resources
  • Provide direct and active ongoing portfolio advice to assigned client
  • Uncover needs that are not clearly expressed by the client
  • Be able to advise and influence clients, overcome objections and demonstrate the confidence to close significant business
  • Lead investment discussions and presentations in one-on-one settings, in small groups, and with larger audiences
  • Communicate complex technical details easily and consistent with the level of sophistication of the client or sales team member
  • Diplomacy and influence skills to build partnerships and succeed in a highly decentralized, matrixed and entrepreneurial business model
  • Demonstrates resilience and ability to thrive and deliver results in a high pressure, global, rapidly changing and often ambiguous environment

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Robust experience in providing investment advice and solutions as well as managerial experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior managed investment experience with a strong ability to explain and implement asset allocation and individual asset classes
  • US Only: S7, S66 (or 63 & 65) & S3
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
