Job Description

Meta’s Infrastructure team is seeking a highly experienced Managing Director to lead our strategic efforts in energy infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for deploying billions of dollars to secure the power needed to fuel the future of AI and our global data center operations. This is a leadership role for an architect of a new energy paradigm, with a mandate to ensure Meta’s continued growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 15+ years of experience in energy infrastructure development, utility strategy, or power procurement within a large-scale technology, real estate, or infrastructure organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-party negotiations with utilities, regulators, and energy providers, resulting in favorable interconnection, procurement, and tariff outcomes
  • Knowledge of the energy market landscape, including utility tariff structures, power contracting mechanisms, grid interconnection processes, and applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record of managing the development and delivery of large-scale, high-voltage power infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission assets
  • Financial and analytical capabilities, with experience driving investment decisions and project economics in capital-intensive environments
  • Strategic, systems-level thinker with experience driving decision-making in ambiguous, high-pressure environments, with a track record of influencing executive stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, engineering, or a related field

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
