This role is central to the firm’s litigation and involves overseeing court filings, calendaring, and ensuring procedural compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep familiarity with New York court practice and play a critical role in ensuring the firm operates efficiently and in full compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.
Job Responsibility:
Review and manage court documents, filings, and related procedural requirements
Maintain and oversee the firm’s master calendar, including all court appearances, deadlines, and filing dates
Ensure compliance with New York court rules and procedures across matters
Coordinate with attorneys regarding scheduling, filings, and case status
Serve as a key internal resource on procedural and court-related matters
Requirements:
Managing Clerk or Assistant Managing Clerk/Attorney with approximately 8+ years of relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Prior experience with Court Alert or a similar system
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
In-office schedule: 4 days per week (typically 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
