Job Description

Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a Managing Attorney for the Quincy office. Work for a non-profit law firm, with 140+ employees in eight offices across North Florida, that seeks legal justice for low-income and vulnerable individuals while understanding the value of work-life balance.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the law firm branch office
  • Supervise the activities of the support staff and staff attorneys
  • Handle a reduced caseload
  • Play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of LSNF within the local community
  • Collaborate with partner organizations
  • Look for ways to effect systematic change with appellate work and high-impact cases
  • Manage grant projects and task deadlines
  • Convey goals to and motivate legal and non-legal team members to operate collaboratively

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience practicing law
  • Two years of experience supervising staff
  • Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Passion to serve vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people

Experience with public service or a legal services organization
