Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a Managing Attorney for the Quincy office. Work for a non-profit law firm, with 140+ employees in eight offices across North Florida, that seeks legal justice for low-income and vulnerable individuals while understanding the value of work-life balance.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the law firm branch office
Supervise the activities of the support staff and staff attorneys
Handle a reduced caseload
Play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of LSNF within the local community
Collaborate with partner organizations
Look for ways to effect systematic change with appellate work and high-impact cases
Manage grant projects and task deadlines
Convey goals to and motivate legal and non-legal team members to operate collaboratively
Requirements:
At least five years of experience practicing law
Two years of experience supervising staff
Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing
Strong leadership skills
Passion to serve vulnerable populations
Ability to work with diverse groups of people
Nice to have:
Experience with public service or a legal services organization
