Job Description:

EY is seeking a Manager to join our GCR team, where you will lead complex engagements and play a key role in driving the growth of our GCR practice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead complex engagements and play a key role in driving the growth of our GCR practice
  • Combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge to lead a team in providing tax services
  • Manage our clients’ compliance and reporting needs
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen valued internal and external relationships
  • Ensure that the services delivered to clients are of the highest quality
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of client engagements
  • Monitor progress and deliverables
  • Put in place the necessary standardized processes
  • Anticipate and identify risks
  • Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Drive performance-improvement solutions
  • Supervise high-performing teams and build a positive learning culture
  • Coach and counsel junior team members to help them develop
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or any related essential fields
  • MBA, master’s or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent qualification
  • A very strong knowledge and minimum of 5 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules/regulations, developments, etc., ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment
  • A very strong background in tax accounting and tax auditing, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment
  • A strong track record of managerial, organizational, and project management experience
  • Excellent communicator and detail-oriented professional with a strong track record of management experience
  • Comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people and with large amounts of data

  • Experience of dealing with multinational clients and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • In-depth commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge
