Island Life Sri Lanka is a collection of boutique heritage properties including Thotalagala Tea Plantation Bungalow, The Warden’s House – Yala, and Galle Fort Hotel, designed to provide intimate and memorable stays that celebrate local culture, wildlife, and history. We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead overall operations of The Warden’s House, Yala, a luxury boutique property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong operational performance, and effective team leadership in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, coordinating activities and logistics and maintaining overall quality of the wildlife experience, services and facilities
Managing and training of the staff members in line with the company standards
Ensure effective communication between all departments, guests, staff and the management
Maintain the good standards of both Front of the House and Heart of the House departments
Resolve issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies of the properties
Lead the team to control budgets, manage expenses and controls to minimize hotel cost
Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve guest service
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (professional qualifications preferred)
6–10 years of hospitality experience, including 3–5 years in a senior management role
Experience in boutique or luxury hotel operations is highly preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good knowledge of all hotel operations (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Guest Services)
Strong financial and operational management skills (budgeting & cost control)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
