Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join the WhatsApp Integrity Operations team as a Manager focused on scams and the adoption of AI in the scams operational space. In this role, you will drive the development and execution of operational strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate scams on WhatsApp, while leading the integration of AI technologies to enhance our operational capabilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to address existing and emerging scam threats on WhatsApp
  • Drive the adoption and integration of AI solutions into the scams operational space, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering, to ensure alignment on anti-scam priorities and approaches
  • Manage the execution of anti-scam initiatives, including project planning, delivery, and monitoring of key performance indicators
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on scam mitigation progress, AI adoption, and operational risks
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging scam trends, AI technologies, and industry best practices, advising the organization on potential impacts and opportunities
  • Foster a high-performance team work environment
  • coach, develop, and inspire direct reports

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, risk management, or compliance roles, ideally in a technology company
  • BA/BS in a related field
  • 3+ years experience leading high-performing teams
  • Proven analytical skills, with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership
  • 1+ years of experience using WhatsApp

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with WhatsApp products and services
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, especially AI and its application in operational risk or fraud prevention
