Job Description

An excellent leadership opportunity has become available for a Manager, Waste and Resource Recovery. Primarily based at the City of Darwin Civic Centre you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliant and effective operations at Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility, the Northern Territory's largest landfill facility, providing essential waste services for the community that also underpin biosecurity, human and environmental health for the region. This role is also pivotal for supporting the Northern Territory circular economy and diverting resources away from landfill.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead compliance with the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority
  • Work in multistakeholder environments across varied operational and infrastructure projects
  • Ensure contracts are safely and effectively undertaken
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service at the waste management facility and across other waste management services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or relevant discipline and/or experience
  • At least five (5) years' experience in the waste management and resource recovery industry
  • At least five (5) years' experience in leading teams
  • Possession of a Class C Drivers Licence
  • General Construction Industry - White Card
  • National Police Clearance
