Job Description:
Manage a team of international export control experts in four key geographic regions: Canada, US, Europe and Asia. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in ITAR, EAR and US export control regulations, laws, and sanctions and provide guidance to Bombardier for its global business. Review and oversee various Export/Import Authorizations (Licenses: DSP-5, DSP-73, DSP-61, Agreements: MLAs and TAAs). Draft, manage and monitor trade compliance policies, procedures and best practices to ensure Bombardier’s export control and sanctions compliance. Partner with stakeholders across the global Bombardier business to identify, assess, and manage global trade issues, opportunities, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Oversee the day-to-day export control operations around the world with an emphasis on Bombardier’s defense business. With the help of your team, lead the development and presentation of export-related training for Bombardier in North America, Europe and Asia. Be responsible for regularly issuing communications on export control issues and updates and determining their effect on Bombardier. Be responsible for the application, implementation, and recordkeeping of export licenses, technical assistance agreements, commodity jurisdictions, commodity classifications, or similar authorizations, and registrations with or certifications for relevant export control authorities. Be responsible for conducting regular internal audits and investigations to ensure continued export control and sanctions compliance. Stay current with changes to and application of relevant export control and sanctions regulations. Train and oversee Bombardier personnel on determining the export classification of hardware, software, and technology under relevant export control regulations. Be required to travel occasionally domestically and internationally.
