The Manager of Supply Chain requires an in-depth understanding of supply chain concepts, theories, and principles and basic knowledge of other related disciplines. The Manager Supply Chain must be able to apply an understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance, and influence processes and policies for the supply chain discipline as well as identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems that impact effectiveness. The Manager’s Supply Chain impacts the level of service and the supply chain team’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives. Decisions made by the Manager of the Supply Chain should be guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the project’s effort and oversee project staff
Develop and understand sourcing and material management strategy for the project
Understand the major suppliers in the area and maintain relationships
Lead the various functional leads on the project (including project leaders)
Support the Business Line and Projects by participating in initiatives
Support diversity efforts
Support diversification of suppliers and subcontractors within the supply chain organization
Train regional stakeholders in responding to owner requirements for diverse and local content
Lead supply chain’s participation in the development of social responsibility best practices for the organization and promote the adoption of industry best practices into supply chain practices
Support project-level resources with diversity, social responsibilities, and local content strategies to effectively implement plans and procedures and respond to change or new challenges
Organize outreach and information sessions for local suppliers interested in employment, training, or other opportunities and align with stakeholder engagement
Establish win-win partnerships with diverse and local suppliers that benefit communities, projects, and customers
Identify and implement any additional opportunities for economic and social development
Monitor and support reporting on social responsibility outcomes (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
Support the Supply Chain monthly reports for projects
Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures
Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and procedures
Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
12+ years of prior domestic and international procurement experience including major equipment acquisition, construction contracting, logistics, subcontract administration, and claims resolution in the Oil and Gas Industry
Fluent in Microsoft Office
Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills
Understanding of national and international regulations around diversity and human rights
