Job Description

At Capital One, our Enterprise Service Management (ESM) teams are seeking a Manager, Supplier Management. As a Manager, Supplier Management you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well-managed and adaptable supply chain. You will work closely with internal team members establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers. You will be expected to have knowledge of market trends and industry standards relating to the supplier portfolio for which you will be responsible. This role is essential in the delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management-related efforts for third-party relationships, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic and innovative solutions to support internal customers. Identify value-generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth)
  • Develop deal strategies and socialize with key stakeholders to partner and align on needs to negotiate for a broad range of products and services for Capital One
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties, which includes an ability to understand and act upon service levels
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally across multiple business units and stakeholders to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant Capital One policies and procedures
  • Monitor and ensure the health of successful delivery against third party contractual obligations
  • Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third-party relationships. Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships
  • Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging suppliers to acquire goods or services, including conducting market research, negotiations, supplier management, cost analyses, and aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, or Process Management, or a combination

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, Risk Management, Project Management, Process Management
